• WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DO?

  We are asking you to pray and seek God for how he wants you to respond. Prepare your heart to hear Him and then listen to what He says. Talk with your spouse and family about what your commitment will mean for this next season. Respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly for the progress of the good news in our church family, among our neighbors, and around the world. We are then asking you to make your financial intention known to us by submitting your commitment card.

• WHAT IS THE “RIGHT AMOUNT” TO GIVE?

  2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Everyone’s situation is unique, but we are all called to give. Our challenge, no matter what you currently give, is to take a step forward in your generosity journey.

• WHAT IF I CAN’T AFFORD TO GIVE RIGHT NOW?

  It is easier to give when there is abundance, but lean times prompt us to trust God at a greater level. This will look different for each family, but God will direct all of us and call us to surrender our lives completely in the area of giving. Sacrificial giving may mean being challenged to sell things, cut back in certain areas of spending, or even to trust God in faith by making a commitment you don’t quite know how to fulfill right now, but that you believe God will provide as you seek Him.

• WHAT IF I AM BURIED IN DEBT? AM I STILL SUPPOSED TO GIVE?

  Being in debt does not disqualify someone from giving. Giving isn’t about what God wants from you; it’s about what God wants for you. So, it should be our joy and privilege to give at all times.

• WHAT IF I AM NEW TO RADIANT CHURCH OR HAVE NEVER GIVEN TO RADIANT CHURCH BEFORE?

  If you are new to our church, welcome! The first step is to attend Grow Track. In this four-week class, you will learn about our church and how you can get connected. For more information on Grow Track, visit radiantchurch.live/grow.

  UNLEASH is about the vision for our church and our personal discipleship in giving, as followers of Jesus. We believe that the local church is one of the most compelling missions to give toward, and we would really love for you to make us your home and join us in UNLEASH. If you are ready for it, this is a perfect time for you to put a stake in the ground and make this your church. We need you on the team!

• HOW WILL THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS AFFECT OUR CURRENT MINISTRIES?

  All current staff and leadership have been a part of the design process and are excited for the future plans. We will all need to work together and be flexible throughout the construction process, as things may change often (kid drop-off procedure, open rooms/ hallways, etc.). We appreciate your patience and flexibility!

• IF WE ARE ENGAGING IN THE UNLEASH INITIATIVE, HOW DOES THIS CHANGE OUR TITHE AND ANY OF OUR “OVER AND ABOVE” GIVING?

  During this two-year period, every contribution to God, through UNLEASH, is a contribution to God’s mission at Radiant Church. This means that everything, from our general ministry budget to our special community events, our mission work locally and globally, as well as our building renovations, will be fueled through the UNLEASH initiative. So, every single dollar given within the next two years will contribute to fulfilling this life-changing mission!

• ARE THERE ADDITIONAL WAYS TO GIVE?

  Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give. Don’t overlook stored assets you own. Gifts of appreciated property (stocks, real estate, mutual funds, jewelry, artwork, collectibles, etc.) often make great gifts with significant tax advantages. Please consult with a professional advisor for advice in your particular circumstance.
