Irene Yvonne Cramer, 83, of Hiawatha passed away Friday, August 26, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Radiant Church with the funeral service starting at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Irene was born August 8, 1939, to Bernard and Opal (Sexton) Reece in Storm Lake, Iowa. She married George Cramer on November 21, 1958, in Creston, Iowa. Irene worked many jobs that included making wedding, birthday, and anniversary cakes, and even taught cake decorating. She also worked secretarial positions at First Assembly of God and the Cedar Rapids American Diabetes Association. Most importantly, she had the job of being a mother. She was an active member at First Assembly of God, now Radiant Church.
Irene is survived by her loving children, Sherri O’Neal, Shawn Hauskins, Daniel (Teresa) Cramer, and Matthew (Robin) Cramer; along with fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents, son-in-law Tim Hauskins, granddaughter Lainee Hauskins, and one great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Radiant Church or Isaac Newton Christian Academy.
