FOSTER YOUTH GRADUATION CELEBRATION
Join us in helping them celebrate this great achievement in their lives.
Each year dozens of young men and women age out of the foster care system in the Cedar Rapids area. Just over 50% actually graduate from high school and less than 3% of these students will receive a Bachelor’s degree. To help encourage these students, the people of Radiant Church are working with others in the community to provide an open house for these graduates. Celebrating such an accomplishment is something no young person should have to do alone.
Bring graduation cards and gift cards to places like Target, restaurants, movie theaters, or Amazon. We want to support our foster youth and help bring value, purpose, and meaning to their lives.

PERSONAL ADVOCATES:
We are looking for individuals or couples to come alongside the graduates and simply help them get ready for this day. Personal Advocates are paired with a student, watch a video training we have prepared, and work with an individual student to make sure they have a great experience on their special day. QUILTS:
Warm the hearts (and homes) of graduating foster youth!
Our church group is creating handmade quilts for each graduate at our upcoming Foster Youth Graduation Open House. Last year, these quilts were a huge hit, providing a cherished keepsake for 21 students.
Sponsor a quilt for $100 and help cover the cost of materials. Your contribution will go towards fabric, backing, and thread, making these gifts a reality. A handmade quilt is more than just a blanket – it’s a symbol of love, comfort, and support.
